Truth of Being
November 2009

Truth is not some body of knowledge out there, in some cosmic or earthly library, that you need to absorb to attain enlightenment. Truth starts in your heart when you return to the Father, loving him as Jesus did.
~
Dear Friend!
Solomon bids us buy the truth (Proverbs 23:23), but does not tell us what it must cost, because we must get it though it be ever so dear. We must love truth both shining and scorching. Every parcel of truth is precious as the filings of gold; we must either live with it, or die for it. As Ruth said to Naomi, "Where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge, and nothing but death shall part you and me" (Ruth 1:16, 17); so must gracious spirits say, Where truth goes I will go, and where truth lodges I will lodge, and nothing but death shall part me and truth.
A man may lawfully sell his house, land and jewels—but truth is a jewel that exceeds all price, and must not be sold; it is our heritage: "Your testimonies have I taken as an heritage forever" (Psalm 119:111). It is a legacy that our forefathers have bought with their blood, which should make us willing to lay down anything, and to lay out anything, that we may, with the wise merchant in the Gospel (Matt. 13:45), purchase this precious pearl, which is more worth than heaven and earth, and which will make a man live happily, die comfortably, and reign eternally!

1. What is truth?
Truth is that "ye are Gods, ye are children of the most high". And in each of us there is a spark of God’s Light, a spark of infinite Being that God is.
How can one describe truth? One can write volumes but it doesn’t help if there is no love. God is Love, and he can only be known through love.
The same is with truth. The truth of God, and the truth about you, can only be known through love.
If you fear God or resent him or doubt him, you cannot know truth, because as soon as you feel separation from God, you move out of truth.
So what is needed to know truth? To love God, and to trust God.
But many people can't because they have been told untruths about God. Or because they experienced something unpleasant in their lives, for which they blame God.
There are so many untruths about God out there, so many false images that mislead the children of light about their true identity. Which tell them they are not worthy, or that they are sinners, or just sophisticated animals.
In reality, God is so close, God is closer than breath, closer than our life vein. But they made him so distant.
When Pharisees asked him where the kingdom of God is, Jesus answered them:
The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. (Luke 17:20-21)
This basic truth has been overlooked, and the gospel is preached as if God were outside of us, some external being, someone whom we cannot commune with directly, in the temple of our heart.
Jesus said:
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. (Luke 12:32)
So many people fear life, they fear poverty, sickness, failure, death. They believe they need to suffer, and even that God wants them to suffer. Many believe they have sinned and therefore deserve suffering. But the truth is very different: we are God's beloved children and it is God's pleasure to give us the kingdom. God doesn't want to deprive us of anything. God is Good and loving and benevolent. He is not an impossible-to-please parent, or someone who needs our sacrifices and suffering. God is complete in himself and he only wants the best for his children. He wants to see us happy and fulfilled. But he cannot give us his love and blessings if we refuse to receive it. He cannot embrace us if we turn our backs on him.
2. Receive God's unconditional love
Until we receive God's unconditional love, we won't be able to truly love others. You cannot give what you don't have. A mother who feel unloved cannot give true love to her children. And so the lack of love perpetuates through generations. We are frustrated about our parents for not giving us love, when in fact they couldn't do it because they themselves were wounded. Instead, we should forgive them and open ourselves to the unconditional love of Mother Mary, our Divine Mother, who loves dearly all her children.
Call to Mother Mary and ask for her love, imagine that you are bathed in her infinite love. Simply be a baby, an innocent baby who doesn't need to do anything to deserve its parents' love. Your only task is to receive. Allow yourself to receive and be filled to the brim with the infinite love of the Divine Mother.
If you believe you are unworthy, cast that thought out! Each of us has a core that is pure and worthy and lovable – a core that is divine! That is God in you. This core is pure no matter how much dirt might have collected on the outside. But the inside is immaculate. Connect to that immaculate core, BE it, and allow Mother Mary to love you. And you will be healed.
Once you connect to that core and experience the love of Divine Mother, you will begin to know God. That experience of love and oneness is the truth. Always go back to that place of purity and innocence, where you are able to love and be loved without restrictions – unconditionally. This is who you really are. This is the kingdom of God within.
Nobody can take it away from you. Even if the face of challenges and tribulations, you always have this place within to retreat to. It is your safe haven, your inner altar. So wherever you are, God is always with you. You don't have to feel abandoned, ever. Just go within and ask, and you will receive everything you need.
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8)
3. Multiplying the talents
Know that with God you have everything. And right now, in this moment, you have everything you need to make the next step. You don't need anything else. Maybe you need God's guidance – and you can ask for that – but you don't need better material circumstances. The point is to take what you have right now, and with God's help and inspiration make the best of it, and then you will receive More. This is called multiplying the talents. You already have the talents you need to make the next step. Your only task is to use them, to employ them, to express what is already inside of you.
Through multiplying the talents, we grow. What is a talent? It is a gift we received from God. Someone is talented for singing, someone for writing, someone has the ability to imagine beautiful things and bring them into the physical. We all have a special, unique talent, which is at the core of who we are. This is our gift from God –
the gift we are to use to enrich the world we live in.
So how do we multiply the talents? By using our God-given talents selflessly, to raise all life. When we don’t seek to elevate ourselves above others because we are so “special”, but we seek to use our uniqueness to bring more light and love into the world.
Every one of us is unique and different from each other, and yet we can feel one with the All, loving and serving the All. This is called unity in diversity. And that’s how God envisaged it – that our differences complement and enhance each other, rather than separate us from each other. Because indeed, each of us is one facet of a diamond mind of God, and each one contributes to the beauty of the whole.
God manifests himself through us. The divine spark that is in our heart, came directly out of the heart of God. And thus, it is infinite, as we are infinite. And we are here to gradually grow in our God-ness, in our ability to let the Divine work through us.
We are here to let the Father work through us, to achieve that degree of oneness so we can be the open door. Jesus said:
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. (John 14:10)
We are in the Father, and the Father is in us. And when we awaken to that truth, and we connect to the Father in our heart, this will be the beginning of abundant life.
4. Abundant life
What is abundant life indeed? It is when we have everything we need in God and we don’t depend on anything outside of God. We don’t crave for the things of this world, be it material possessions, or pleasure of the senses, or fame and success. We have our fulfillment in God. And so we are free, free to Be who we are, and through multiplying our talents to serve the All.
Being who you are in God is the greatest joy. It is effortless, it just flows. And life stops being a struggle. For many people, life is a struggle because they think they need to do something, to meet the expectations they or their environment puts on them, to fulfill the criteria of success. But what is success really? Is it material wealth, is it a happy family, is it fame and recognition? True success is not that but Being who you are created to be. Expressing that God flame of yours, that divine spark. You don’t need to DO anything specific, but just BE. And through Being, everything else will come.
Doing something because you feel obliged is very different than doing something as a result of Being. The former is struggle, the latter is joy. The former you don’t feel like doing, the latter you enjoy and never get tired of!
So this is the difference between doing and Being. First Be, then do. That’s the Wu Wei, the Taoist principle of “action without action” or effortless doing. Wu Wei comes from Being.
5. Creativity in Being More
When God enters your life, there can only be More. What is that More? Why with capital M? Because it is the more of God, not more of the worldly things. It is the More of who you are in God.
We receive the More by multiplying our talents. For example, let’s assume I have a talent for teaching, and I love teaching too. And so I go and give a lecture on a subject that is dear to my heart – spirituality. And because I am passionate about it, I inspire other people – they awaken to the truth of who they are. This is how I multiply my talents. Even if no one heard my message, I would still be multiplying my talents because I gave my gift to the world, out of love and without any selfish motives.
If you sing a nice song which will touch people’s hearts, or cook a nice meal which will make people feel loved and nurtured – that too is multiplying your talents. Share what you love doing, give the gift of your heart, and you will receive More from the infinite God’s Reserve.
As you start sharing, you open up the flow, and you will be inspired to do other things, to multiply your talents even more. True creativity is being in the flow of God’s love, it is a gift from God. And if you are one with God, whatever you create will be a blessing to the world, it will be inspiring, uplifting.
There are many artists today who are “creative” but they send out negative vibrations. They are actually harming the world, instead of helping it. That’s not true creativity, but misusing their God-given talents for negative purposes.
Purity of the heart is the key. If we don’t express from a pure heart – a heart that loves and has forgiven – our negativity will be felt in our words and whatever we do. And then we cannot bring in the More of God. Instead of being a co-creator with God, we will be creating against God’s vision and lowering the vibration of the material realm. Instead of light, we will bring darkness.
A lot of lesser vibrations are created through modern music. Music is a powerful means of creation. Many are familiar with the experiments of Dr. Masaru Emoto and Dr. Hans Jenny, where they observed the behavior of water molecules when exposed to different kinds of music (http://www.reversespins.com/music.html). Classical music created orderly, symmetrical forms, while discordant music, e.g. heavy metal, created irregular, chaotic patterns.
This is how music affects our thoughts and emotions too, because sound waves act upon the waves of our thoughts and emotions and produce either a harmonious, uplifting affect, or a discordant, disturbing one. Much of modern music is out of alignment with God's harmony, having a negative effect on us and our environment.
6. Loving God first
The goal of life is to Be More, always More. We are here to grow in our divinity, in our God Being. And since God is infinite, there is an infinite potential for growth. As we are Being More, we act as a greater chalice for God's light and can be of better service to the All. Growth in Being is always connected with service, it is never a selfish pursuit.
Personal development is very popular nowadays, and even spirituality is popular, but many people use it to develop some skill or personal trait, which will enable them to have a more successful life. But the aspect of service is not present. And that's because they don't really understand who they are and what they are here for. They don't realize we are here to follow in Jesus' footsteps, we are here to be the Christ, be the co-creators with God.
Many people in the New-Age movement adopted a lesser image of themselves, and partially because they don't want to take full responsibility for themselves. To follow Jesus is not easy, it requires constant surrender of all lesser desires, all attachments. It is eventually just you and God. You need to be willing to be sustained by God only, and have faith that he will provide. You need to let go of all expectations and cravings for earthly possessions or fame, or a perfect relationship, and desire nothing but God. As Jesus said:
Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33)
In other words, love God first. Love God more than anything in this world. That's how Jesus lived, and that's what we should strive for too. Because only that can bring true freedom. If we want something more than God, or something besides God, we worship a false god. And this keeps us from More of our True Self.
7. Dualistic vs. true fulfillment
In reality, there is no more outside of God. It can only be less. Eventually, it can only bring suffering. Every pleasure outside of God is followed by pain, every ecstasy by depression. In duality, when we are not anchored in our God Self, it is a sine wave of ups and downs, the constant shifting sands of our lesser desires and emotions. It happens when we think we need something from the outside to be happy. When this something appears on the horizon, for example a “perfect” partner, our entire emotional body is drawn to that person, like a tidal wave is pulled by the full Moon.
We immerse ourselves in hopes, expectations, dreams that this is “it”, this is where we will find fulfillment. Our emotions go wild, they are so powerful and all directed towards one goal – to be together with the person of our dreams. But when they don’t respond or the relationship breaks, we are devastated. These very same emotions come back on us, with the strength of a tsunami and push us under water. We are drowning in the storm of our lesser emotions.
The emotional highs usually feel great, but the lows are hard to bear. And the lows are inevitable because when you are not anchored in God but seek some ultimate bliss in the physical, you are set for disappointment. There is no ultimate bliss in the physical. People who experience such highs, e.g. through sex or chemicals, always want more of it, and it becomes like a bottomless pit. It is never enough. That’s why drug addicts need larger and larger doses to have the same ecstatic experience as when they used it for the first time.
The truth is that nothing in the physical can give us ultimate fulfillment. There are people who think that money will make them happy, and so they work hard and eventually become rich, even multimillionaires, only to find out that they still feel miserable. Happiness comes from within, not without.
8. Take dominion over matter
And this is one of our main tasks here in the physical – to be the masters of our own household. In Genesis, God said, “multiply and take dominion”. Multiply refers to multiplying the talents, and taking dominion refers to taking dominion over our household: our thoughts, emotions, actions. To find peace, love and integrity within, in our oneness with God.
This is what Jesus achieved, and that’s why he didn’t fall for Satan’s temptations. He was free from any desires but the desire for God.
But the mastery of his mental and emotional body didn’t come from suppression and control, but from surrenderof any lesser desires. It is when you realize that there is nothing you want more in your life than God. And that opens you to being your True Self. If you have other desires but God, you cannot be your True Self, at least not fully, because there will always be something to pull you down, a weak spot that will prevent you from reaching your full potential.
What is difficult about surrender is that we are attached to the positive parts of the sine wave, to the “highs”, and we don’t want to let it go. We don’t want the pain, but we want the pleasure. But that’s a dualistic pleasure, which always comes in pair with pain. The trick is to surrender the whole package, the whole dualistic desire.
Surrender the perfect partner, the perfect pleasure of the senses, even the perfect spiritual experience. Whatever you made your false god, surrender it and know that God will give you More. And then you won’t be governed by your attachments but by God inside of you. You will be your True Self – finally!
And this is Victory! The ultimate success in life is Being your True Self. Being I AM –a spark of God, an infinite being, an embodied flame of God. Be God’s hands and feet on Earth, through your unique Flame, through sharing your unique gift, through shining your light. That’s true happiness, true fulfillment.
9. Being loving Christ
God is Love and God is More. The same is true for us. Through Love, we implement the More. When we love, we have faith that God will provide and we are willing to surrender all lesser desires. We know that there is no more outside of God. Our will is God’s will, we don’t want anything that is not the will of God. And we know that this is the highest will and the highest fulfillment we can have. Because, with God it is always More than we ourselves can imagine. When we allow God to work in our lives, miracles happen. There is abundance and there is flow. And in that flow, we raise the All because we love God by loving our brothers and sisters.
There is the vertical flow of love between us and God, and a horizontal one, between us and our fellow man. And this is what means to be the Christ – to be in that flow of unconditional love, connected both to your Source and to other parts of life. This is how you become the open door, the bridge between the worlds.
Be in the world, but not of the world. Shine your light, bring the spirit of your True Self to matter. This is the ultimate purpose of life.
