A call to all spiritual people:
It is time to start living your divinity
July 11, 2008

Painting: Thomas Cole, Voyage of Life - Youth
You, the richest person on Earth,
who have been going around begging for a living,
stop being the destitute child.
Come back and claim your heritage.
We should enjoy our happiness
and offer it to everyone.
Cherish this very moment.
Let go of the stream of distress
and embrace life fully in your arms.

1. Remote Heaven, suffering Earth
I am 12 891 days old. 1
The first 6000 days I spent learning about life and gathering experiences. The conclusions I made during that period were obviously not too encouraging, so I decided to close myself in and reject life. And so the next 4500 days I spent separating myself from my True Self and ruining my life through an eating disorder. Then about 1800 days ago I realized that I cannot go on like that any more and that unless I change something, I will be no more.
So I sought help, and found it. I stepped on the path of self- development, learned how to accept myself, love myself, have more fulfilling relationships and lead a more satisfying life. Many of my wounds were healed. But something was still missing. I was here on Earth, and the Paradise was up there in Heaven. Remote. Why can't I have Paradise here on Earth? What is stopping me? Why can't I let go of the darkness in me? Why can't we as a human race let go of our collective darkness? What is stopping us? Why is this world so different from what it could be in theory? Peace, abundance, freedom for all… Why is it so hard to achieve?
I started searching for answers… and about 1000 days ago I found it. I found the truth which empowered me to set myself free. Whenever I am ready for it. I realized there is more to life than I thought, or what others told me. There is a real possibility to have Heaven on Earth. If we choose so. We are more than who we think we are. We are spiritual beings on a sojourn in matter. We are divine. OK, I already knew that. But what to do with that divinity? Does it mean to have better lives, have spiritual and material abundance, care about the environment, love all people? Yes, but that's just part of the picture. We are not isolated from others, we are not isolated from the world. We may have our personal lives all set up and running smoothly, but outside of our bubble there's a world in need. And what do we do about that?
2. What does it mean to be divine?
That ties in to our divinity. Think for a second - what does it really mean to be divine? Would a divine being allow pain and suffering, wars and killing, famine and environmental destruction, to continue for another moment, if it had the power to change it? Would a divine being tolerate the greed of the minority to control the lives of the majority? Would a divine being not feel a burning desire within, a fire in the heart, and say: "Wait a minute! This is not right! This cannot continue! We demand the higher principles of God - that we all know in our hearts - to be established on this planet.
We don’t allow wars, killings, pain and suffering of our fellow men to continue. THOSE ARE NOT OUR WAYS. We care for life. We respect people's free will. We want people to live in peace and harmony. We want peace on Earth. We demand peace on Earth. Because we have the right to live in peace. It is our God-given right, and no authority on Earth can take it away from us.
Many things are wrong on this planet. Deep within we know it, but somehow we came to believe that this is how life is, this is how Earth should probably be. There is a perfect life in Heaven, and that's where we, as a spiritual person, will go. After we leave this earthly body. After we leave the Earth.
3. What counts is Earth
But what if both Heaven and Earth are our true home? What if our being - our total being - consists of two parts - the spiritual part, which is in higher vibrations (which we call Heaven), and the material part, which is here, in the dense physical reality. And they exist simultaneously, only in two different vibrations, two different realms. And what if the spiritual part of our being is the director of our enterprise, and the material part is the CEO - the one who executes, i.e. puts in practice, the ideas and guidance of our spiritual self?
And the enterprise can prosper only if the director and CEO work together. Spirit and matter together - one mind, one goal, two realms. And mind you - the enterprise is located here on Earth, in the dense physical reality. So here is where it counts, here is where we earn our profit. Not in Heaven, but on Earth. Here is where we gather our treasures, and they - if our hearts and minds are pure - automatically show up in our heavenly "bank account".
Our spiritual growth, and maturing of our soul, takes place mostly while we are in embodiment, not while we are in between incarnations. True, our soul learns in between embodiments too, in the sense that it sees the mistakes it had made in the previous incarnation, and the areas it still needs to work on. And it makes a plan - with the help of its spiritual guides - of how to best learn the lessons it needs to learn in the next incarnation.
But the execution of our life plan takes place in embodiment - this is where the soul creates itself and its life according to its free-will choices. So if we are not striving to be all that we are in God - here, on Earth - we won’t have the chance to do it in Heaven. Because we are co-creators with God, and the place of our co-creation and self-realization in here, on Earth. This is where the plot takes place, so to speak.
4. Our being is like an hourglass
So we can imagine our being like an hourglass 2 (with an almost infinite amount of sand), consisting of upper and lower part, and the light of God is seeping from our higher being - our spiritual self, to our lower being - our material self, i.e. the self in embodiment. At the nexus of our higher and lower being - at the narrowment of the hourglass - is our conscious self - the part of us which is self-aware and which can make free-will choices. The conscious self can identify itself with our spiritual self i.e. our true divine nature, or it can choose to see itself as a material being with no spiritual origin. The choice is ours.
But the point is that the upper and the lower are not separated. They are only separated if our conscious self chooses to believe so. In other words, Heaven and Earth are here simultaneously. Or rather, they can be here simultaneously, if we choose so. We have Earth as a given, and we need bring in Heaven. Which means we need to turn a dial of our consciousness to the vibration of Heaven, to the consciousness of Heaven. And then bring it to Earth - through being the divine being that we really are. Through living our divinity. Here and now, because this is the only time, and the only place, that counts.
If enough people would embrace their true spiritual identity and start living their divinity, the world would be a very different place. Living your divinity is not a piece of cake, though. It requires to let go of the separate self - the self that sees itself separate from God. The self that doesn't see that there is an opening in the hourglass, and that through that opening - which we can freely open or close - the light of God, the light of our divine self, streams into our being. Through that opening - which is our conscious self, the I AM - all blessings and abundance flow, all ecstasy and bliss, not just into our own being but into our world too.
5. Embrace your divine individuality - and live it!
Spiritual people know a lot about the separate self, which is also called the ego. But many of them don't know that there is the Divine Self - individualized deity - which sprang from the Mind and Body of God. Some teachings call it the Divine Spark. And that is our true identity. So when we are called to let go of the separate self, or the ego, it doesn't mean that we would lose our individuality and disappear in the transpersonal ocean of Allness. It doesn't mean we would cease to exist as individual beings. We would simply shed the unnecessary baggage of who WE ARE NOT, and be free to be who WE ARE.
We possess divine individuality, which recognizes its oneness with the Creator and with all life. We all sprang from the same source. But each of us is unique, different, and has a unique gift to give to humanity. Each of us is like a facet of the diamond mind of God, a hue of God's light, a note in the symphony called Life. We are all One, but we are not the same. Embracing our divinity means embracing our divine individuality, and living it - BEING it here on Earth.
So this is the need of the hour. This is the requirement that I put on myself, in the 12.891st day of my current sojourn on Earth. And something I appeal to you to do too, wherever on your path you might be. Remember the hourglass. It is not meant as the metaphor of the passing time, but in this day and age, it might as well be that too. This is not my first embodiment on Earth, I've been here before. Most probably you have too. The time has come to finally do what was necessary all along, but the time "wasn't ripe". Well, now the time IS ripe, and it is time to start expressing our divinity. As Above so below. And claim our God-given right for peace and justice on Earth.
May God - through our divine selves - reign supreme on this planet that is our home and that we love so dearly.

2 That is a very simplified image; a more accurate one would be to compare our being with a figure 8, because besides the flow from the higher to the lower being, there is also a returning current from the lower back to the higher being, as explained here
