LET THE SUNSHINE IN:
Guide to the Golden Age

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by
narrow domestic walls;
Where words come out from the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the
dreary desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever-widening thought
and action --
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.

1. Magnificent confusion
In the beginning of my quest for truth I read a lot of self-help and spiritual literature, including the popular "Conversations with God" by Neale Donald Walsch. It was beautiful and comforting, but I had a problem understanding what exactly is our purpose on Earth. It seemed as if we are already complete and perfect in spirit, and we are here on a temporary journey, to experience various parts of the material realm, and then to return to our perfection in spirit. And that this goes on to eternity.
I could not understand why we would want to descend to a less perfect world and experience pain and suffering there, when we can stay in fullness and bliss of our spirit. Is it some bizarre game that we are playing? And why would God make it like that?
It didn’t make sense to me, so I started to search for answers. And I found them, first in an outer teaching, but then gradually inside myself too. And it all made sense. I realized that we are spiritual beings, children of God, and that our core is indeed divine – that we are divine sparks. But we still don’t have the full awareness of God, we are learning and expanding our sense of self, through cycles of incarnations in the material realm.
We also have free will to choose what we want to identify ourselves with - immortal spiritual beings or mortal humans - and what kind of circumstances we want to create in our lives. We are created in the image and likeness of God, and have the potential to become God in our own right, but this requires a period of experimenting, learning from trial and error, transcending our limitations and eventually making the right choices – the choices that will not only improve our own life but the lives of all people. And this is what God actually is – a fully conscious, loving servant of all.
2. What life is all about
So I realized that life is about expanding our consciousness, transcending our limited sense of self and making choices. It is about becoming More, more of God, and expanding the divine core that we are. Life is not just another experience in the material world, but it is an opportunity to grow. We are not here only to have fun, or to experience as much of the physical sensations as possible. We are here to become more of who we truly are, more of God.
There was a part in "Conversations with God" where Neale Donald Walsch asks God why is there darkness in the material world. And God replies that it is so that our light, our little candle, could be seen, because otherwise our light couldn’t be noticed in the face of a much greater light of God. And so we need the contrast of darkness for our light to be seen.
Well, now I know that this is not the highest possible understanding. Now I know that we are here to in fact choose between the Light of God and darkness of illusion, and to gradually illuminate all darkness with light, with love. We are here to fill the entire sphere, the entire world, but most importantly - our entire consciousness - with light.
3. Two types of darkness
We need darkness as a backdrop only if it is a neutral darkness, an emptiness waiting to be filled with light. Like the night gladly gives way to the first sunrays in the morning. If darkness is like a canvas on which we can paint with our light, then yes, we need it. And that’s why God created darkness in the first place – to serve as a canvas for our self-expression. It is the absence of light, a space of creative possibilites, tabula rasa. Neutral, awaiting, void.
But there is another type of darkness which God didn’t create, and that is the darkness of illusion, which resists God’s light and feels separated from God. We might call it evil darkness. That darkness is not a part of creative complements of Light and Darkness, yin and yang, masculine and feminine. It is the darkness in which the shadows thrive and which separates us from the fullness of our Being. That darkness we don’t need in our life – in fact, we need to transcend it. And that is one of the reasons we are here.
So, life is about expanding our consciousness, transcending our limited sense of self and making choices – more precisely, choosing between light and darkness. Once our consciousness is saturated with light – enlightened – we will make the right choices spontaneously, it will become our second nature.
And once we truly get to know ourselves as a magnificent spiritual being, one with God and all creation, serving all life unselfishly, with pure heart and pure motives – then, well then, we will be ready to ascend to higher spheres and leave behind the material realm.
Because by then we will have left behind all attachments to the material world, all ego games, all wrong beliefs and miscreations, all that separates us from our True Self. And we will be one with God in our mind, we will be like Jesus Christ, who said "I and my Father are one." And this is why Jesus came to Earth – to show us the path to our True Self, the path of oneness with God.
4. Christ consciousness
And now we come full circle: the 5th ray is the ray of God’s vision, which means a higher vision for our lives and for the world. And the highest possible vision is to develop that level of oneness with God that Jesus had, that consciousness that was in Jesus: Christ consciousness.
It doesn’t mean that we need to become replicas of Jesus and imitate him in his outer actions, but we need to understand the mindset of Jesus, the heart of Jesus, so that we can follow his example: "What one has done, all can do". We need to develop that consciousness which says "I and my Father are one", and "Nevertheless Father, not my will, but thine be done", where we gradually surrender our ego, our resistances and our pain to God.
What we need to understand is that Jesus is an example to follow, not an idol to worship. Jesus wasn’t a martyr who died for our sins and he wasn’t resurrected because he possessed supernatural powers. He died for several reasons, but primarily to show that if we have faith in God AND feel one with him, we can overcome all obstacles, even physical death. He was resurrected because he showed that the Spirit of God reigns supreme in his consciousness, which gave him eternal life. If we would attain Christ consciousness, we would earn eternal life too.
So I realized that life is really about attaining Christ consciousness. Because that includes all elements of spiritual growth: self-awareness, self-transcendence, and making choices in alignment with the will of our Higher Being, which is the same as the will of God.
Without having Christ consciousness as something to strive for, spiritual path could become vague. Whereas the path of Christ calls for self-transcendence in accordance with our highest potentials and highest vision for our life. And that is indeed what is necessary to bring the Golden Age into manifestation.
It will take nothing less than Christ to bring about fundamental changes that are necessary in our world today. But it won’t be one person, as Jesus Christ was the only one 2000 years ago, but a critical number of people who will attain a high degree of Christ consciousness and become the open door for God’s vision to be manifested on Earth.
Because the Age of Aquarius is the age of freedom, and freedom carries with it responsibility, personal accountability, for our choices. We can only have an age of freedom if the majority of people takes responsibility for their lives and raise their consciousness. Therefore there won’t be another Messiah who will liberate us from the burdens of this world – but we need to liberate ourselves.
5. Golden Age - a sketch
I don’t know how the Golden Age should exactly look like, but one of its main features will be that the majority of people will have accepted their true identity as spiritual beings, co-creators with God, and will be working on self-transcendence and attaining Christ consciousness.
Having acknowledged their true identity, people will recognize the ultimate authority of God - as a higher principle - in their lives and their societies. They will appoint leaders who have attained a high degree of Christ consciousness and are serving the interests of all. Lesser standards, selfish interests and violation of people’s rights won’t be tolerated.
The purity of motive will be a precondition for all leaders and politicians. Those with selfish interests will be seen through and won’t stand a chance. The level of consciousness of politicians will reflect the level of consciousness of the majority of people. That is also true in democratic societies of today, with the difference that in the Golden Age the average consciousness will be much higher, so naturally the leaders will be much more enlightened than we have today.
In the Golden Age, there will be no wars, no famine, no violations of human rights, no environmental destruction. Energy won't be produced in a forceful way - by burning fossil fuels which causes pollution, or forcefully splitting the atom which causes nuclear waste problems. We will have free energy as a gift of God - as a natural consequence of our oneness with God - and it will require no physical resources for its production. Because of high enough state of consciousness, nobody will try to make an inordinate profit on it, or monopolize it, or use if for selfish interests. It won't be even possible because it will be available to everyone. Free energy will be the driving force of a free society, but it will not come into existence before the level of consciousness rises enough.
In the Golden Age, there won’t be natural disasters and cataclysms, because those are caused by imbalances and distortions in the collective consciousness of humankind (since the energy field of collective consciousness interferes with the Earth’s energy field). Once people accept their spiritual identity and the higher vision for this planet, the negative influence of the collective consciousness on the natural world will subside too.
Golden Age will bring into balance two creative principles of God: masculine and feminine, and people will understand that each person, regardless their gender, is made of both masculine and feminine energies, i.e. of expansive and contracting forces which are both necessary for healthy growth of a soul.
Love and adoration for the Divine Mother, as the female aspect of God, will be reawakened, and so women will be raised to their rightful place in the society, including in the religious hierarchy, as preachers of the Word of God. There won’t be any more suppression of women’s freedoms and rights, nor sexual or other kinds of exploitation. Women will also keep their dignity and refuse to be treated as sexual objects, which is now a widespread practice, specially in the entertainment industry and marketing.
Women will be considered equally valued human beings. The consciousness of putting them down, blaming them for the "original sin" and abusing them, will be non existent.
Equality does not mean sameness, so it will become clear for both men and women that they are not rivals in a struggle for dominance, but complements who need each other and are meant to be working together - each with their respective qualities - in raising all life.
In the Golden Age, people will understand their purpose in the material universe and what it means to "have dominion over Earth". On one level it means to rise above materialistic attachments and anchor oneself in the highest possible - spiritual - reality. Further, it means to endow matter with spirit, i.e. to spiritualize the matter.
But it also means to understand Earth's true purpose: a platform for growth of souls. Which means that man is a natural part of Earth's setup and has every right to be here. Man is not a savage who can do nothing but harm to nature, he in fact has the power to bring nature to even higher levels of perfection, even to more than it was when God created it as a pristine environment. However, in order to do that man needs to be aligned with his Higher Being and create according to the vision of his Higher Being, i.e. the vision of God.
What is true is that natural environment currently does not outpicture the original vision of God because it is affected by mankind's lower consciousness - the consciousness of separation from God - which has been around for a very long time. It is manifested in natural disasters, extreme weather patterns, malicious viruses, infectious diseases, pests, etc.
Stopping all growth and freezing the current state would not be in the best interest of neither nature nor mankind, since it would lock us into an imperfect blueprint. We are here to raise our consciousness and attain a higher vision for both our lives and Earth. Only with a higher vision can we raise Earth to the perfection possible in God.
Returning to indigenous lifestyles and primitive land practices, which could support only a very limited number of people, would not be the highest vision for Earth. Technology is good if it serves a higher purpose – spiritual growth – by relieving man from arduous labor so that he can have more time and energy to pursue spiritual goals. Of course, only technology which doesn’t harm the environment and which enhances life, in the sense God envisioned it, can be a part of the Golden Age.
6. Sustainable development: balanced Father and Mother principles
Sustainable development means a balanced growth, however growth that is not just material, but includes growth in consciousness. Sustainability means balance between two divine principles: the expansive, Father principle and the contracting, Mother principle. The energy of the Father drives us to develop, to create, to be more of who we are, while the energy of the Mother sees that our creation is sustainable, and that we have responsibility towards our creation and towards Mother Earth which gives us the platform for growth.
Since the Father principle drives us to be more of who we are, it also means greater individualization, because we go after developing our specific talents, interests and way of thinking, rather than staying in an undifferentiated tribal consciousness (which tends to value people based on their belonging to a tribe or group, rather than based on their personality). However, this drive for individualization could, if taken to extreme, lead to conflict and division, unless there was another force - the Mother principle - which directs our expansion into a unified stream, so that we recognize the higher truth behind outer differences. So that our individual growth doesn't contradict or endanger the growth of another soul.
Ultimately, the goal is that we all rise in our individuality and self-awareness, but in a way that recognizes the same first cause behind all, and therefore enhances all life, rather than destructing it. That would be the spiritual meaning of sustainable development.
Development cannot really be sustainable without having in mind a higher vision for humankind and a higher vision for Earth. Incomplete ideas about our true purpose on Earth lead to unbalanced approaches, ranging from "zero development" as one extreme, or "maximum profit and power" as the other.
The zero development paradigm stems from an imbalance in the Mother principle – wanting to stagnate and contract, refusing growth. While the "maximum profit and power" paradigm stems from an unbalanced Father principle, which seeks expansion and dominance in the material, without acknowledging the higher purpose of life – expansion in consciousness, and in love.
Unbalanced Mother principle in some people leads to rejecting all growth, wanting to preserve the natural environment as it is, in fact wanting to stop time. But in reality we cannot stop time, we can only put ourselves to sleep like the Sleeping Beauty did, but the thorny hedge around our castle will continue to grow anyway.
We cannot stop growth without in fact falling back and deteriorating, because we cannot annul the passing of time and an inherent force of decay that accompanies it if left unattended. We need to tend to our lives, in other words, we need an enlightened Mother who will nurture and preserve but also allow the Father to grow. We need to have those two energies in balance, first in ourselves, and then seek to balance it in our enviroment as well.
Unbalanced Father principle is what we often see in political, military and business leadership. The want for power and profits without consideration for other people and nature. Unbalanced Father is selfish and self-centered. He is determined to get what he wants without considering the price. Ends justifies the means philosophy.
The ultimate ends for those people is physical survival, and an unbalanced father believes that the Earth is about survival of the fittest, that it is a place of limited resources which in fear for the future he needs to amass for himself. Other people are not important, in fact they are seen as competition that needs to be disabled. In the process he is of course cutting the branch on which he is sitting, though without realizing it.
Spiritually aware people know that life on Earth is not about the survival of the fittest, nor about competition and destroying each other. It is about common growth, respect for each other, helping each other. It is ultimately about purifying the heart, and it is a sad thing that an unbalanced Father doesn’t give too much consideration to that part. A lion heart he might cherish, but not a gentle, compassionate heart.
An unbalanced Father should stop and think: Why am I here? What is all this struggle about? And then realize that if he would dismantle the armor around his heart, the world would be a much better place.
Both the unbalanced Mother and the unbalanced Father are wrong about the same thing: they believe that this planet has limited resources, only they try to solve it in two different ways: the unbalanced Mother by minimizing the growth of civilization, which would hopefully preserve the nature and the little resources that we have left. While the unbalanced Father by taking those limited resources for himself and disabling those whom he perceives as competition.
Both the unbalanced Father and the unbalanced Mother believe there are too many people on Earth and not enough resources for everyone. It is the consciousness from which stem various schemes to limit population and economic growth, specially in poor countries.
7. What is true abundance?
What neither the unbalaced Mother nor unbalaced Father realize is that this planet does NOT have limited resources, because its main resource is not what is found on or beneath the surface of the earth, but what we have in our minds.
Our main resource is consciousness, and if we develop the consciousness of oneness with God, i.e. Christ consciousness, we can connect to the unlimited resources of God, which is who we really are. We can draw abundance and energy from the spiritual world, which the scientists dealing with free energy technologies have already started to realize.
It is our Father’s good pleasure to give us the kingdom, meaning that God wants us to have abundance, not only after we leave this world, but here and now, in the physical. The purpose of life is not to suffer in order to have abundant life later, in Heaven, but to attain the consciousness of abundance – both material and spiritual – which will allow us to have abundant life here on Earth.
This is where Christianity and most religions are wrong – that abundant life cannot be achieved while on Earth, while in the physical body. The truth is that if we connect with the consciousness of Heaven ("I and my Father are one"), we can have Heaven on Earth. And that is the whole point of life: to bring Heaven to Earth.
8. Bringing Heaven to Earth
We often hear New age gurus talk about the need to live in the "here and now". What it really means is to have spiritually abundant life here and now, not later. The Church tells us to bear the cross of the material life so that we can have eternal life after death. While some spiritual movements, specially those based on Eastern traditions, advocate withdrawing completely from the material life and spending our days in meditation and focusing on the higher realms. Neither approach is balanced.
The goal of life is to take action and bring Heaven to Earth – through raising our consciousness and creating from that higher consciousness. Our goal is neither to suffer nor to withdraw from life, because in both cases we would be maintaining the status quo. And in both cases there would be no growth.
If we believe that we are cut off from God’s abundance because "we don’t deserve it" or because "life is hard", or as another side of the same coin, we are refusing to bring God’s abundance to Earth because "the material is not important", then in both cases we haven’t understood the main point of life: to bring spirit to matter. To live and create in the material world according to a higher vision, the vision of God. In other words, the point is not to long for Heaven but to bring it to Earth!
"God is Father, God is Mother, never one without the other" (Kim Michaels, www.askrealjesus.com). This is the meaning of the Thai-chi symbol, yin and yang, male and female in perfect balance. The light of God the Father creating in the body of God the Mother. In that process both Father and Mother are raised, both are expanding and creating More: their Child, the new spark of life, which has the potential to become all that his parents are, and More. This is how we are created in spirit, this is how ideally we should have been created in matter too.
But even if our physical parents were not perfect, we should always keep in mind that our divine parents are perfect, therefore we were created in perfect love and with a potential to become all that we are in God. And that offers infinite possibilities for growth. Because we are made in the image and likeness of God, and God is infinite, unlimited, constantly expanding, through his children too, and therefore constantly becoming More.
What is most important, we can connect to our divine parents, to the well of infinite love and abundance, and have that abundance in our lives. But we need to believe that it is possible, we need to understand who we are, and we need to love that who we are and the magnificent plan of God.
The plan is that we, the children of God, expand our consciousness, become aware of who we are, and then start co-creating worlds of beauty, harmony and perfection, according to our higher vision, which is naturally aligned with the vision of God. Beauty and perfection don’t refer just to art and design, but to all segments of society, all parts of life. It refers to politics, economy, science, religion, technology, law, culture... to all human activities and all that we create.
In the vibrational sense, bringing God's kingdom to Earth means that the material sphere becomes so full with light that it starts vibrating at the level of the spiritual realm, i.e. Heaven. Meaning that "Heaven" is not separated from us, it is not "up there" in another dimension. It is right here where we are, if we choose to expand our consciousness.
9. Loving God’s plan = loving who we are
In order to take full responsibility for our lives, we need to both understand and love God’s plan. We need to accept the rules of the game, so to speak. Only this is not a game, but a magnificent opportunity for growth. The truth is that we create always and at all times, whether we are aware of it or not. Because we create first and foremost with our minds. Whatever idea is there, it is already a creation, a product of our mind. In our mind we can create heaven or hell, and if we strongly believe in it, it will manifest in the physical too.
Our mind is not just the conscious part but the subconscious too. In fact a bigger part of our mind is subconscious, and it is a very powerful creative force. The question is only what it creates and if we are happy with it. Often we consciously want one thing, but get another, in fact we get exactly what we don’t want. And that is the power of the subconscious, the power of conflicting ideas and desires inside our mind.
There is so much going on in the unilluminated parts of the psyche, so much what we are unaware of. And those "wild horses" or "mad dogs" are allowed to run havoc in our lives – until we decide to stop them. Sometimes it’s not the mad dogs but cold businessmen, or knowledgeable scribes and Pharisees, or various other characters, that are living in the caverns of our psyche and pulling the strings of our lives.
Therefore the first step to growth, the first step to taking back our lives, is self-awareness and self-knowledge: knowing what we are made of, what are the contents of our psyche, what we believe about ourselves, other people, the world, God... We need to get to the bottom of ourselves, and see what is the program we are running on. Most often, we don’t run on God but on various false concepts, which we made into axioms and postulates, and allowed to rule our lives. In short, we are worshipping false gods.
Therefore the first God’s commandment is "Have no other gods before me". It does not mean that the Jewish God is better than the Muslim God, or the Christian God is better than the Buddhist God. No, it means: don’t worship false gods. False ideas, false concepts, false sense of identity.
True God – whom we can know in our heart – is one and only. And we get unto him only through the heart - through loving who we are, and loving God’s plan for us and all creation. If we spend too much time and energy on false gods, it will be more difficult to re-connect with the true God, with our true identity. But it is always possible, no matter what we did in the past. Sincere heart and the willingness to surrender the ego will be the open doors.
10. Refusing to be who we are
Case 1. Self-destruction through an unbalanced Mother principle
The spark of life needs to be re-kindled, the fire of God re-ignited in our hearts. But we cannot ignite the fire of God if we don’t love who we are, and if we don’t want to grow and Be More. Some people don’t even want to live because they think it’s too much effort, too much suffering and too little joy, and they would rather skip the entire deal. They are unhappy, unfulfilled, don’t have control over their lives, they are often addicted to some substance or activity which they cannot let go of. If you ask them, they say they love God but feel powerless to help themselves. In other words, they deny that God is in them.
Being a mature son or daughter of God bears responsibility, it requires self-transcendence, letting go of our comfort zone, letting go of the victim mentality. It requires the will to be what we are created to be. Some people find it too much, for them it’s easier to be less than who they are. And so they gradually disconnect from their God flame, from that fire within, and set themselves on the path of self-destruction. Those are the people with an unbalanced Mother principle, who choose contraction rather than growth and self-transcendence.
But even if their lives go wasted, the task of self-transcendence is still pending, so another opportunity is granted to them in another life. And so it goes on and on, for eons, until finally all opportunites are expended, and for those who keep refusing to accept their true identity and take responsibility for their lives, the opportunities run out. They return to the heart of God, from whence they sprang, but not as self-realized, mature co-creators with God, but as sparks, as unrealized potentials, which blend with the infinite sea of God's energy, with the Allness of God, thereby losing their individual existence.
Case 2. Self-destruction through an unbalanced Father principle
There is another extreme of refusing to be who we are: people who do have perfect control of their lives, who are successful and industrious, but they tend to control other people as well. Although they don’t fully understand life, they are convinced they do, and they try to force their brand of truth on everybody else. Those are people with the unbalanced Father principle, who are trying to expand not their consciousness but their material might and power. And since the resources in the material realm are limited – if we refuse to connect to the Spirit – the only way they can have more is to take from others.
Therefore they seek to control natural and human resources in order to secure maximum power, control and material abundance for themselves. In that process they lose perspective of God’s laws, or even deny the existence of God whatsoever, which makes them succumb to the "ends justifies the means" philosophy, a philosophy that justified even the most horrible atrocities that took place on this planet.
They deny that all people are created equal, and believe that some people are inherently better than the others, and as such, more apt to rule the world. Living in this illusion, but firmly believing that they are right, they refuse to accept the "game" and be what they are created to be: not just capable leaders and rulers, but humble servants too.
This group has the tendency to not respect the free will of other people, and that’s what makes their actions severe. Because one the most important laws in the universe is the Law of free will. Through the violation of that law, they quickly lose connection with God, and so the only source of abundance for them is indeed the material realm and taking away from other people, through some kind of deception and enslavement, often a very subtle one.
As long as people allow to be manipulated, refusing to awaken to their true identity, this group will manage to maintain their power. Until their time is up. And that happens, if not sooner, then at the end of a spiritual cycle.
11. End of a spiritual cycle: the in-breath of God
Time will come - and it happens at the end of a spiritual cycle - when everything that is created in the material realm will have to be returned to God, from whence it all started, so that it can be lifted to an even higher level of existence. We can imagine it as if at the beginning of the cycle God expanded in an out-breath, sending out his children to "multiply and have dominion" 1 over the material realm, and at the end of the cycle he breathes in, calling his children back home, so that he can give them the next portion of Light, consciousness and inspiration.
It does not mean that the material realm will be obliterated, but that we will receive a surge of light-consciousness from the Spirit (which is already happening), which has the potential to cause a revolutionary leap in our development. But this can happen only when certain preconditions are met: that souls come into oneness with God and understand their main purpose in life. Otherwise the Spirit cannot take us to new heights. We cannot proceed to a higher grade unless we have graduated from the previous one.
In the in-breath of God, whatever chooses to be separated from God will not ascend because at the new level of consciousness the illusion of being separated from God cannot be sustained. The consciousness of separation from our source, which we are an extension of, simply cannot survive in that higher awareness. Therefore souls who fail to attain oneness with God will be given another chance in the following sphere of evolution to do so. Souls who are predominantly identified with something that is not God and who have persistently refused to be what they were created to be, will also be permitted to do so until their allotted time expires because unreality cannot continue forever.
The end of one spiritual cycle is nearing, and the Earth has the potential to be lifted to a higher vibration and a new level of existence. Many people are already awakening, and the high-vibration energies coming from the spiritual realm are supporting the process. But the leap to a higher level of existence won't happen against people's free will. Because everything on Earth is subject to our free will. What needs to happen is that enough people rise in consciousness and realize the real purpose of life on Earth. That this is a schoolroom. That we are here to grow spiritually.
If we keep kicking against the pricks, blaming others (the politicians, other groups, other nations...) for our problems, and looking for solutions outside ourselves, we will have missed the point. And the awakening - which otherwise should be a joyful path - will be rough and unpleasant. We will awaken to the fact that we cannot continue resisting to self-transcend, but it might happen through unpleasant outer events like natural disasters, wars and other calamities. All caused, directly or indirectly, by our own stubborness and unwillingness to change - to see the beam in our own eye. And so, because of our resistance, we will have condemned ourselves to unnecessary suffering.
But it doesn't have to be like that. We can awaken right now to the reality of life, reality of God and our true identity. And we can start saying YES to change - change of our consciousness.
12. Victims, controllers and saviors
People with an unbalanced Mother principle, who refuse to take responsibility for their lives, are stuck in the victim mentality: they believe to be the victims of circumstances. Even if they have relatively successful lives, they feel powerless in the face of greater problems in the society and the world. Maybe they managed to achieve a good standard of living, but they did it by adapting to the system - no matter how distorted it were - rather than trying to improve it. In the process they gave up their true identity, and agreed to be less.
They also silently agreed to tolerate abuse, both in their lives and in the world, because they believe this is how the world is. They do like to criticize and complain about things, but they are not willing to do anything to change it.
The other polarity are people with an unbalanced Father principle, who unlike the victims, believe they can and should control all circumstances, not just in their own lives but on a larger scale too. They feel vulnerable to the outer world, whom they perceive as hostile and competitive, so they need to do everything to keep it under control, to ensure their own survival.
The controller consciousness says "I can and will control the circumstances in my life, even if it means controlling all other people and the entire universe". In the ultimate sense, the controller consciousness is saying "I am God and I will rule the world."
Whereas the victim consciousness says "God is outside of me and I have no power in the world".
The victim consciousness is no less dangerous than the controller consciousness because it helps maintain the status quo. Those people expect that life is suffering and no matter what atrocities happen, they think yes, life is like that, we hate it, but we cannot do anything about it. Some of them even condemn God for it.
There is a third group of people stuck in the battle consciousness - the saviors. They are here to save the world from the "evil oppressors". And so they start a battle against the controllers. But since they are also unbalanced, uwilling to see the beam in their own eye, they operate in the black-and-white logics and "end justifies the means" philosophy.
They say "We will save the world in God's name", without having an understanding of what God truly is.
So they end up using the same means as controllers to achieve their goal. They use war to achieve peace. But that is never possible, because war can only lead to another war. Because the consciousness behind it - which says that we can prosper only if we eliminate those whom we perceive as enemies - has only been fortified through war.
So the saviors become the counter-elite, which uses exactly the same means to come into power and maintain their power, as the elite. They can be even bloodier than the elite, which we know from the French revolution and the Bolshevik revolution in Russia.
What happens in such cases is that the power is taken from the elite by force, by another unbalanced group stuck in the battle consciousness. And it happens because the people - the citizens - are not ready or not willing to stand in their own power but need an elite to rule them and tell them what to do. It also gives people an excuse to put all the blame on the elite, i.e. the politicians, instead of taking charge of their lives.
And so we have the eternal battle of controllers and saviors, of the elite and counter-elite, with the people stuck in the middle, not liking either of them but not knowing better. What people need to understand, specially spiritual people who look for More in life, is that the battle between the "good guys" and the "bad guys", between the relative good and evil, takes place only in the duality of human mind and not in the mind of God.
There is no battle on God's side, on the Christ side, because the Christ is already in the victory consciousness - he has already won! And he did it by seeing through the illusions of his own ego and the illusions of the "prince of this world" 2, thereby coming into oneness with his True Self.
And all of us, who find the Christ within, will be the winners too. Because the battle can go on only until we are stuck in the battle consciousness. If we transcend it - through the wisdom of Christ - the battle is over.
If people would realize that, the whole political system of today, with its elite and counter-elite, would become obsolete, because it is based on the consciousness of battle, of rivalry. While we know that there is no battle in Heaven, because behind all surface appearance there is one Light, one God, and that it is in everyone.
When we are in Heaven - which is a state of consciousness - then we are all winners. There is nothing but victory - the victory of Light.
What we need before the Aquarian age can come is the victory of Light, the victory of Truth, so that no earthly system or ideology can enslave us. If we want to be truly free, there is only one way - through Christ, through Being who we really are.
13. Entering the Age of Aquarius and the unwillingness to change
It is time to awaken. Two thousand years from Jesus have passed, one spiritual cycle is coming to an end, we are leaving the Age of Pisces and entering the Age of Aquarius. Many prophecies talk about the year 2012 as the "end of time". 2012 is also the end of the Mayan calendar.
But Earth as a platform won’t come to an end, because there is still an entire generation of souls (the so-called 7th root race) that needs to start incarnating on this planet. And they probably haven’t even started yet, or if they have, they are very rare (maybe Indigo children belong to that new "race" of souls).
In any case, Earth will still be around for quite a while, but she will be raised to a higher vibration, required by the higher energies of the Age of Aquarius. Which means that consciousness below a certain level won’t be tolerated, it won’t be sustained any more on this planet.
We know there are many different types of souls inhabiting this planet at the moment, and some in very low consciousness. These souls, unless they raise their consciousness, clearly won’t be allowed to incarnate on Earth in the Age of Aquarius.
But there are a lot of souls, for example the majority of population in the West, who are luke-warm about their spirituality, who are lulled in their materialistic lifestyle and although they could pursue spiritual goals because they have enough money and free time, they don’t. They are caught in the materialistic philosophy, running after a bigger house, bigger car or a better-paying job, while they lost perspective of their true purpose in life.
They are generally good people, peaceful, not harming anybody, minding their own business, and living "normal" lives. But they are expanding in the horizontal direction, in material possessions or pleasures, instead of growing vertically and developing their connection with God.
The biggest problem with those souls is exactly that they "mind their own business" – they became so self-centered and preoccupied with themselves, that they don’t care about what is happening in their neighborhood, not to mention somewhere thousands of miles away. Although the world has become more connected technologically, we still manage to stay disconnected from each other, closed in our little circle, worrying our own worries.
No wonder, because if we are not fulfilled and happy with our lives - and we cannot be without connecting with our Higher Being - then we cannot really care about others. As long as there is an emptiness in our heart, we cannot feel compassion for others.
Then there are people who do care and do have some compassion for others, and they sincerely want to improve conditions on this planet. But they think they cannot do much on a larger scale. They think they are powerless in the face of global problems and big players pulling the strings. They are in the victim mentality.
Some of the more energetic people, who do believe they can make a difference, start fighting for a cause they consider important, like preventing climate change or saving endangered species. But even if it might be a worth-while cause, they don't see a greater picture: the need to stand in their power as co-creators with God, which would ultimately solve all environmental and social problems.
So they remain in the consciousness of struggle - struggle between man and nature, rich and poor, "good guys" and "bad guys". And they can spend their whole lives in that role, not making a real change. Because as the Arab proverb says, the dogs bark, but the caravan moves on.
If those people would step into their God-given power, they would offer solutions that work, they would change "business as usual" on this planet. They would make the "bad guys" obsolete in the sense that we wouldn't need to uphold distorted systems and practices in order to keep our economy going. In other words, they would offer solutions that would make people free.
But of course, truly sustainable solutions, that benefit all, can only come through a higher mind, the Christ mind, and we cannot reach the Christ mind before healing the divisions in our own psyche. As long as we are not willing to pull the beam from our own eye, we will be divided both within and without, and no real progress will be possible.
So to re-cap, what we have at the moment is the majority of people who are asleep, and who most likely won't wake up from themselves, and a relatively small percentage of people who are more awake and who wish to improve the living conditions on this planet. But even they don't see a higher picture, even they don't fully step into their God-given power, but either deny it or use it in ways which most often don't change the status quo.
And so the imperfect conditions, and the consciousness behind it, are allowed to continue. And this consciousness is sometimes very dark, it is the consciousness of willful separation from God and trying to make Earth a God-less planet. So that false gods could rule.
This consciousness obviously cannot survive in the Age of Aquarius. But if the majority of people tolerates it and maintains the status quo, this means they in fact deny their God-given power to the point of accepting evil. They deny their light and give way to darkness.
By doing that, they are putting themselves in a precarious situation - to be pulled down into a spiral of destruction together with those who created the spiral. The majority of people on this planet is like that - somewhat blind to what might come along. They are aware of global warming, of the weather extremes and of rising number of natural disasters, but they don't connect those events with their state of consciousness.
They support various schemes to combat climate change and preserve the environment, but they don't see that the greatest change needs to happen in themselves - in their hearts and minds.
The matter of fact is that no amount of reduction of greenhouse gases will help Earth - unless we raise our consciousness. No amount of outer actions will suffice to take us through the Pearly Gate. We need to change within, and the time for that change is limited.
14. Smooth transition or calamity?
Natural disasters are connected with severe distortions in the mass consciousness, since the mass consciousness is a form of energy which interacts with the Earth's energy field. Similar is true for global warming - it is a physical manifestation of mankind's unwillingness to raise their consciousness, even though they had all the time in the world to experiment with lower consciousness (which marked human history with war and strife) and learn from trial and error.
If the majority of people refuses to self-transcend even now, we might indeed see upheavals in nature in the coming years. It wouldn't be an act of punishment from an angry God, but a consequence of accummulated negative energy, negative consciousness, karma if you will, pressing on the Earth’s energy field.
If this heavy burden is not relieved, if the consciousness is not raised, Mother Earth won’t be able to bear it any longer and the negative energy will spill over, causing natural disasters. It will not be God sending "hellfire and brimstone" to the disobeying masses, nor the result of over-industrialization (although the latter might have some impact), but it will be primarily the result of our own spiritual blindness and unwillingness to self-transcend.
This blindness is reflected in many irresponsible practices in the world today. Environmental degradation is just one of them, but there are also many social issues, such as large inequalities between rich and poor nations, allowing famine and starvation in the 21st century, allowing abuse of women and children, child labor, and many many others. There is so much disrespect for human life today, that it is no wonder we are facing a global crisis.
15. The choice is ours
We still have some time until 2012. Spiritual teachings say that if the critical mass of people raise their consciousness by the year 2012, there won’t be any problems, Earth will enter the Age of Aquarius peacefully. But if people do not awaken, there could be much upheaval, both natural calamities and wars, which could lead to a great loss of life.
The key role in shifting the mass consciousness will have the spiritually most aware people on this planet. If you are reading this, you are probably one of them. When spiritually aware people, who can be found not just in spiritual movements but in all segments of the society - who are looking for More in life - decide to accept their true role as co-creators with God and attain a measure of Christ consciousness, they will make a tremendous impact on the whole society.
Because the well-intentioned people - the majority of population - who were asleep so far, will start awakening too. Mass consciousness is like a pyramid. If those with the highest awareness start Being who they are and taking a stand for truth, the whole society will be lifted. And the Golden Age of peace and prosperity will manifest on Earth.

1 "Multiply and have dominion" means that we are here to multiply our talents i.e. the Light and endowment that we received from God, and become all that we are in God. It is as if in the beginning we were a seed, and we need to grow into an adult tree which produces fruit: more Light and Love. "Have dominion" means to realize that we are more than matter, more than a mortal human being, and to bring the light of our divine self into the material world.
2 "The prince of this world" are all outer forces who want us to believe that we are separated from God, or that God doesn't exist, and that this world is a battlefield.
